Earlier this year when I first learned how to crochet using the grit stitch, I vowed to design a chunky scarf featuring this easy, yet beautifully textured stitch!.. So here we are today!

What You'll Need
12.00mm Crochet Hook
250g Super Bulky Yarn {14ply} - I used Lincraft Luxe
Wooden Button {1.75 inches x 1.75 inches}
Wooden Button {1.75 inches x 1.75 inches}
Scissors
Tapestry/Wool Needle
Finished Size
Fits 13 Years & Up
Width: 11"
Taking your 12.00mm crochet hook and super bulky yarn, start of by making a Slip Knot, then crochet 21 Chains. {Note: Add or take away sets of 2 foundation chains if you'd like to create a thinner or wider scarf.}
Row 1~ Chain 1. Crochet 1 Single Crochet into the second chain from your hook. * Skip 1 chain stitch. Crochet 2 Single Crochets into the next chain. Repeat from the * all across, making sure to crochet 1 Single Crochet into the last chain stitch.
Row 2 - 52~ Chain 1. Crochet 1 Single Crochet into the same stitch. * Skip 1 stitch. Crochet 2 Single Crochets into the next stitch. Repeat from the * all across, making sure to crochet 1 Single Crochet into the last stitch. {Note: You can either add or take away a couple sets of rows, depending on your size.}
Fasten off, and weave in loose ends.
Taking your tapestry needle and yarn, sew the top corners of the scarf together. Then sew a button in the same place as a nice embellishment.
Hope you all enjoyed this chunky and super cozy pattern!
If you did crochet this, please post a photo of your creation onto my Facebook Page.
I'd love to see it!
Have a lovely day crocheting,
