The other day I realized I hadn't crocheted a single scarf since last year! This was obviously much too long ago, so I decided to do something about it, and got my crochet hook out.
After multiple days of trial and error I finally created a new scarf!
So, I'm very proud and happy to present my newest scarf, the Chunky Button Cowl!
I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do!

What You'll Need
10.00mm Crochet Hook
  3 Colours of 150g 8ply {DK} Yarn ~OR~ Bulky Yarn
Scissors
Tapestry/Wool Needle
4 x 4cm {1.6 Inches} Button

Finished Size:
Roughly 40 inches around and 16 inches wide.
{Note: This all depends on how loosely or tightly you crochet.}

Start of by taking your cream yarn and 10.00mm crochet hook and make a Slip Knot, then crochet 80 Chains with 2 strands of yarn. {You'll continue using 2 strands of yarn for this entire project. But, if you'd like to use Bulky yarn instead of 8ply yarn, you only need to use 1 strand of yarn}

Row 1Chain 2, skip 2 chains from your hook, then crochet Half Double Crochets all across into every chain.
Row 2 - 5Chain 2, Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 6 - 10~ Change to your blue yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 11 - 15~ Change to your maroon yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 16 - 20~ Change to your cream yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 21 - 25~ Change to your blue yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 26 - 30~ Change to your maroon yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
When you've completed all the rows, connect the two ends of the scarf together to create a circle {thus a circle scarf} and Slip Stitch them together.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.

~ Button Band ~

Start of by taking your blue yarn and 10.00mm crochet hook and make a Slip Knot, then crochet 25 Chains with 2 strands of yarn. {You'll continue using 2 strands of yarn for this entire project. But, if you'd like to use Bulky yarn instead of 8ply yarn, you only need to use 1 strand of yarn}

Row 1Chain 2, skip 2 chains from your hook, then crochet Half Double Crochets all across into every chain.
Row 2 - 5Chain 2, Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
When you've completed all the rows, connect the two ends of the band together to create a circle around your scarf. Taking your tapestry needle, sew the two ends of the band together at the back of the scarf.Then taking your button, sew it onto your band.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.

Hope you all enjoyed this pattern!
